I'm setting up Quartus Prime Lite edition 17.0 on my Arch Linux computer. I did a direct download of this (link: http://dl.altera.com/17.0/?edition=lite#tabs-5http://dl.altera.com/17.0/?edition=lite) 6.1GB tarball. Set up went well and the software launches without issue. However it prompts me for a license and says 'standard edition' in the home window. I'm pretty sure I downloaded the right file because the md5 sum of my tarball matches the one in the link.
What gives? Do I need to give it a null license? Did I download the wrong thing? if I did download the wrong thing is it possible to downgrade my current install rather than waste a bunch of time on another download?
Quartus Prime Lite Edition V 17.0
Thanks for the help.
[EDIT]: I had installed the standard version. During the initial installation process the installer hung on a window that said something like 'installing help documents', with a pop up in front that said some thing like 'installation complete'. I figured that it had mostly worked and so I used a process manager to kill the installer. This seemed to work as I had a launch-able installation of quartus, however it seemed to be confused as to which version it was. Some menus said standard version and others said lite version. Additionally it kept prompting me for a license. While u/ARCHANGEL123 (comments) seems to disagree, I'm pretty sure you're never supposed to need a license free or otherwise for the lite edition. Anyway I uninstalled quartus with the given uninstall executable and then rm'd all the directories it had created on install. I then repeated the installation process (using setup.sh). This time in the installation wizard I deselected a number of optional modules:
Quartus Prime Lite Edition Download
support for all devices other than the MAX10 (what I'm using)
help documentation; this is what the installer hung on the first time
some sort of simulation module.. (I sort of forget what it was called. It was near the bottom of the list)
with these three items deselected the wizard functioned properly and successfully exited. This time when I launched quartus all menus and titles claimed to be the lite version, it didn't ask me for a license, and I was able to generate the needed .sof file to program my board. I haven't tried to manually install any of the modules I deselected during the successful install, although I imagine it is possible to do so.
additionally this link: http://www.fpga-dev.com/altera-usb-blaster-with-ubuntu/ was extremely useful for setting up the usb blaster.

For posterity: quartus prime lite edition 17.0 does work on arch Linux with the DE10-lite devkit from terasic as of 21 September 2017.

note:
I am aware that some version of quartus is packaged for arch in the aur. I did not use this package as I wanted to follow altera's instructions as closely as possible.
Some libraries that quartus needs where missing from my system. I was able to successfully install them with pacman. I don't remember exactly which libraries they where but the when I launched quartus with:
quartus -64bit
it failed with an error like 'missing: libsomelibrary.so' and I just installed libsomelibrary. Additionally some further missing dependencies where uncovered when I followed the steps to setup the usb blaster (link above).
