Is it possible to install the HD texture pack (Battlefield 3) on a USB (8 GB pen drive formatet for XBOX 360) and stream the HD texture from there.
Wonder no longer. As you have already heard Battlefied 3 is shipping on two discs for the Xbox 360, if you low on HDD space or have one of those 4GB models, be warned you will NOT be seeing any HD-res
As most of you know by now, Battlefield 3 comes on two discs for the Xbox 360, the second one contains the high resolution texture pack, and if you wish to play BF3 on your 360 with the same graphics as the PS3 you need to install the HD pack to your 360 HDD!

Forgive my ignorance on this part though: Isn't there technology for double-layering and such on DVD's? There's got to be a way to fit everything onto 1 disc...

I read somewhere a while back that there is only roughly 6~7 Gb of space on a Xbox360 dual layer dvd because of all the anti-piracy protection and what not.

Seriously, they shouldn't have gone with an 'old' storage medium for their console. And they shouldn't have released models without harddrives, but then again, this does make people buy their overpriced addons.. dirty marketing techniques indeed..
