Star Wars Battlefront Ps4 Ultimate Edition Review
Hi guys,
Nov 18, 2016 For Star Wars Battlefront: Ultimate Edition on the PlayStation 4, GameFAQs has 1 review.
I was looking in Amazon and I found the SW Battlefront Ultimate edition for like 40$ CAD, that has all the DLC and will give access to play the new VR mission.
Is this game worth getting for 40 bucks if I am not really a huge star wars fan? Is the game worth getting for this price just for the VR mission? I mean I thought for 40 bucks I get all the DLC and it looks like a decent game...but I heard alot of negative comments on it and how it gets boring quickly etc.
I already ordered it because with the pre-order on prime I also got a 20% discount so it came up to 36 with taxes and eveyrhting. So do I cancel it? Will it be something I will replay over and over you guys think or just something I will do once and regret buying it right after just like 50% of the games I buy for PSVR lol
With last week’s announcement of the Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition, there has been a lot of speculation as to what the pricing would be, compared to the $60 base game and the already revealed $70 Deluxe Edition. Now that the game has live preorder pages available on PC, Xbox One and PS4, the Ultimate Edition price has been revealed, available for purchase for a steep $120.
While the Ultimate Edition is costly, paying twice the price of the regular edition of Star Wars Battlefront will provide players with access to the game’s season pass as well as the Deluxe Edition content which includes five in-game items: Ion Grenade, Ion Torpedo, Han Solo’s DL-44 blaster, Ion Shock emote, and the Victory emote.
According to EA, the game’s season pass will provide access to four expansion packs that will be coming at a later date, however it didn’t go into any specifics. It did, however, say they’ll be “filled with new content that will take you to new locations across a galaxy far, far away,” suggesting that new maps will be a key component of the DLC.

It’s also possible that we’ll see a few new Hero and Villain characters with the new maps as a recent data mine has revealed the existence of several unannounced Heroes including Han Solo and the Emperor. In addition, season pass owners will get two weeks of early access to each expansion pack as well as access to a “Shoot First” emote.
The Deluxe Edition is priced at $70 on its own, while the season pass goes for $50, meaning the Ultimate Edition appears to just be a convenience bundle that saves players from buying everything separately. This is further proven by the fact that there are no extra perks listed on any of the Ultimate Edition’s product pages. Xbox One owners with an EA Access membership will get a 10% discount on all Battlefront content, meaning that the Ultimate Edition will be available to them at $108.
Expectations for EA’s latest sci-fi shooter are high, following Star WarsBattlefront’s beta which hosted over 9 million players, representing the largest beta in the company’s history. Now less than a month from release, there are likely to be many reveals coming over the next few weeks. Disappointingly, the most recent announcement was DICE’s statement that the game will not support private matches on launch day.
